When writing fiction, visualising characters is the most important part to me. Characters are almost always the basis of my stories. I got into a habit of trying to recreate their appearance with Cast Cards, used a lot on fanfiction forums.

This blog is simply a celebration of art in images and a way to mentally 'see' people and places featured in my stories. Massive Disclaimer: most (if not all) of the images do not belong to me (I found a lot of them on Google) and I have only used them to create a different artistic view, so all due respect is given to the creator or artist of the images when possible.

The Sims Social On Facebook

Happy New Year's Eve.

All of my blogs will be updated tomorrow. ALL OF THEM.
Today is just the non-fiction ones, P Sov, Alt Ego - and this one, Img Arc.

Can't get enough of the cuteness.

This isn't Jade Rose by the way. I hadn't created her at that time.

The Game

Back when I had a Facebook, The Sims Social game was the only game I liked playing on it. For a while, it was the only reason I went on facebook. I loved doing the quests and getting more money to improve my sims skills and appearance and house or whatever. I remembered I screen-saved a lot of the looks when i heard that the game was gonna be shut down. Nevermind. It was fun while it lasted.

See you on the other side.

Artist: Destiny Blue

All images belong to Destiny Blue.

^
This one reminds me of Destiny Blue, as in the artist.
I don't know why.
This image isn't a portrait of her but it just - !! does!!
It just really reminds me of her!!

I have a lot of artists I really like, such as Nene Thomas and Anne Stokes, and Destiny Blue is another one.

I was super-gutted I didn't get to see her at MCM Comic Con (here for more) this past summer, but hopefully I will soon get to buy a print of one of the above pictures, which are my particular favourites. She has many more pictures on her Deviant art:

The Style

I love how the style is so very anime, but there is something else as well, for example in the picture with the girl with white hair, barcode on her arm, gazing up in the rain - I feel like it has a touch of realism too.

I think what really adds to this is the colours - amazing blends of glowing, swirling tones, it's just completely mesmerising.

I think her artwork is now available for sale online. I hope she gets some licensed merchandise out too. In different areas of my life, people inspire me to get better at a certain skill so that I can inspire others like how I was inspired. Whenever I see Destiny Blue artwork, it really makes me want to learn to draw! Properly!

Jade Rose in The Perfect Dress Game

Yeah.... I like pastels.... A LOT =]
Here is the post for them on my other blog, Pink Sovereign.

And two more I made today.
I mused with the idea of JR's hair shorter.

As I'm sure I mentioned before, I like playing about on dress up games to come up with interesting fashion creations. There is one called The Perfect Dress on Doll Divine that I would use to create replicas of Jade Rose and then see what outfits I could give her.

Perhaps one day, I'll make them for real. But although I love the look of them, I'm not sure that they would suit me. We'll see.

I'll speak more on the outfit conception on the fashion blog.

P.S. Little secret: every time I use The Perfect Dress game, I forget what settings I had for Jade Rose so she ends up having different eyes and eyebrow colours every time! It's so hilarious. I rarely remember that her eyes must be grey and her eyebrows brown or pink. Oh well.

P.P.S I will make more of an effort with this blog. Pinkie Promise. (See what I did there?)
